Feeding the hungry...Sheltering the homeless...Offering hope

Covenant House Ministry
Providing temporary shelter for homeless women and families.

Many different circumstances bring women and families to the Mission's emergency shelter. They come looking for a safe place to stay while they heal, think, pray, plan and act.

Playground at Covenant HouseThey find not only a warm (or cool) safe room, but also food, clothing and personal hygiene items if needed. Residents participate in educational, recreational and spiritual activities such as parenting and budgeting classes, watching and discussing videos, games, crafts, field trips, daily devotions, Bible study, church, special holiday dinners and even BIRTHDAY PARTIES. And the routine at Covenant House helps residents learn that structure is important for daily living.

When the time comes, residents are helped to re-establish their own homes and lives with referral and verification letters to other agencies and programs. And the friendly and loving staff continue to reach out with follow-up support after residents leave. They do all of these things while introducing the men, women and children to the only One who can really change their lives, the Lord Jesus Christ.
