Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals:

Individuals have many opportunities to have a rewarding experience volunteering here at the City Rescue Mission.  We are seeking volunteers to assist with the following opportunities:
  • Lunch Helpers needed for the Sankey Center Summer Youth Program.

  • Church Ambassadors needed to help educate, inform, and connect your church to the work at the City Rescue Mission.

  • Financial Literacy and Life Skills Teachers needed for our Men's Ministry and Covenant House.

  • Men of faith needed to serve at the Front Desk of the Men's Ministry.

  • Host a Picnic or Party (e.g. 4th of July, Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Steeler's Game, Christmas, Valentines Day, Crafts) for our residents.

  • Help with yard maintenance (dates available after June 1st)

  • Organize a drive of needed items by encouraging your church or group to conduct a drive. We always need food, paper towels, toilet tissue, napkins, coffee, laundry detergent, bath towels, men's shower shoes, personal hygiene products, cleaning products, butter, sugar and silverware. Select an item, collect it, and then drop it off at 319 S Croton Avenue, New Castle, PA 16101.
