Position:      Centershot Archery Coach

 

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Centershot Archery Coach is responsible for managing the City Rescue Mission's archery program for kids and teens. This psosition is approximately 10 hours per week when Centershot is in session. Sessions run for a minimum of six weeks with no less than four sessions per year. The sessions typically run in winter, spring, summer and fall.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·   Teach archery fundamentals and coach archers as they lern and practice.

·   Create and manage student archery registration and attendance records. Prepare periodic reports on attendance and participation.

·   Prepare and present an age appropriate bible-based lesson for each meeting. 

·   Recruit and train volunteers to help with the program.

·   Supervise and train paid staff and volunteer coaches/helpers.

·   Create and manage communications with student archers and their parents.

·   Provide information to the Development Ministry for use in creating website pages, online registration forms, and payment portals on the City Rescue Mission website. Create and manage registration pages on Jotform.com and provide links to the Development Ministry.

·   Create incentive programs for kids and teens to encourage retention and spiritual growth.

·   After each use, visually inspect the Sankey Center for cleanliness and maintenance issues.

·   Purchase snacks and drinks.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·   Must have an Archery Instructor Certification from NASP or USA Archery.

·   Must have experience and a desire to work with kids and teens.

·   Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·   Must be able to communicate in a concise and persuasive manner for Bible lessons.

·   Must have great attention to detail.

·   Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.

·   Must have excellent organizational and time-management skills with ability to multi-task.

·   Must have Christian testimony exemplifying Jesus Christ and the ability to share the Gospel as opportunities arise.

·   Must accept the City Rescue Mission's Statement of Faith.
