Position:  Guest Advisor, Men's Ministry Front Desk (Part-time, 16-hours/week - weekend) 

 

Shift: 3rd - 10:00pm  to 6:00am Weekends

Hours: 16 minimum

 

 

Ministry Purpose:

·   In accordance with Ephesians 4:11-12, Philippians 2:4 and Titus 2:7-8, the Guest Advisor oversees operations
    of the front desk of the Men’s Ministry and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Men's Ministry.

 

Primary Responsibilities:   The following constitute the major responsibilities of the Guest Advisor, Mens' Ministry:

 

Spiritual: 

·   Seek to be a role model in attitude, speech and actions in a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ.

·   Show by example the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing and Christian fellowship.

·   Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all ministry objectives and goals.

·   Be prepared to communicate the Mission’s religious beliefs to any who inquire.

·   Be ready to pray with and offer spiritual advice to employees and guests.

·   Follow Matthew 18 principles in addressing issues with employees and guests.

 

Administrative:

·   Oversee the administration and operations of the Men's Ministry front desk.
·   Supervise the Recovery Program participants and volunteers who work the front desk.

·   Fully train all other personnel who work the front desk.

·   Ensure that all policies and procedures pertaining to the front desk are followed and adhered to by all personnel working the front desk.

·   Assist the Director of Men's Ministry in establishing policies and procedures pertaining to the front desk.

·   Keep accurate record of guest medications and be fully responsible to keep said medications locked in a cabinet at all times except
    to dispense.

·   Take in donations and maintain appropriate paperwork.

·   Interact with guests, volunteers and donors with courtesy, respect and a welcoming Christ-like attitude.

·   Ability to access guests to recommend for shelter programs and recovery program.

·   Enforce Men's Ministry rules pertaining to the guests.

·   Enter data into the SPERO guest data management database.

·   Generate reports as required.

·   All other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

·   Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

·   Have a high school diploma or GED.

·   Have good interpersonal skills.

·   Have basic computer skills.

·   Competency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

·   Have good organizational skills.

·   Conflict resolution and crisis de-escalation training.

·   Be dependable and responsible.

·   Be an active member of a local evangelical church.

·   Be willing and able to give a Christian witness in all circumstances.

·   Show genuine love and concern for each guest.

·   Be willing to pray with staff, guests, volunteers and donors when appropriate.

·   Be in agreement with the City Rescue Mission Doctrinal Statement.
